Uh-oh!

This is what Jay found the other morning when he went to go get Kendall out of bed....she kept saying, "uh-oh", "book" and "fix it"....but the poor book was beyond repair! She had somehow gotten it off of a chair by her crib and ripped it to shreds.
I better find a replacement quick, because Cuddle Time is her very favorite book!

A Change of Scenery....

My parents are loving Scottsdale so far!! They move into their new house the first week of October. It is super-nice and was previously owned by a famous baseball player...since I know nothing about baseball, his name has slipped my mind.
Kendall, Jay and I can't wait to go visit again. We are going out the first weekend of October. Start praying now, early, that the airplane fairies will keep Kendall happy on the airplane.

Here are a few pictures my Mom took on their long, 12-hour car trip out to Arizona!
Isn't it beautiful?

Splish, Splash

In case you don't follow the news, it has been raining a little bit. Being the wonderful Mother that I am, I decided to let Kendall go play in the alley. Not the safest playground, I know, but it definitely had the best puddles.
I just wish we could have avoided the leak in our roof.....bummer!

Rock On!

This picture makes me laugh, and I have no idea where Lynsi found it!

This was Hillary, Alison, Lynsi and I a few years back on a girl's trip. There was a live band that night, which was not us. We did, however, persuade the band into somehow letting us take over on one of their breaks!

Grillin'

We got some yummy Omaha steaks, chicken, potatoes and dog treats (yes, they have dog treats!) and cooked out with Caden and his parents. It was so yummy. I cooked some mean baked asparagus...

I reluctantly joined Facebook.

I say this because I KNOW it will become addictive and obsessive, as many of my "friends" have told me! By "friends" I mean those people on Facebook who, for some reason, deem me special enough to have a little picture of myself on their site.

Anywho, as I was trying to make "friends", I came across this security check that I had to type in:

but drooping

Is this some sort of mean sign? It's not THAT bad.....is it??

Babies!

Look at the precious new pictures of Jake and Ford!! Aren't they adorable?

Chuckwagon Parade

Jay, Lacy and I (sadly, Bobby had to work) took Kendall and Caden to the Horse Parade this morning. They loved it! They thought the small horses and donkeys were the funniest.

Making Grandparent's Day Cards

They had Kendall's thumbprints on them and said,

"Thumb" body loves you! Happy Grandparent's Day!

First Day of KDO

Kendall had a great first day of KDO! Mine was not so good-I was tearing up and getting all watery-eyed all morning long. I think I was just realizing that my baby is turning into a big girl. Thanks to a few other parents of kids in Kendall's room, Heather and Erin, I felt like I was not the only crazy person!

Kendall ate pretty good at lunch AND, YES, even took a great nap on a napmat-after never having done it before-without a paci! Miracles happen every day. I seriously did not think she would go down for a nap on the hard floor so easily...must be the cute napmat! ;-)

She went to time-out twice on the first day. I was not surprised...

Ready for school!

A friend took this for me...she's looking a little scared!
Look at how she is clutching her crayon with a death grip...

Have I mentioned that she is 2?

Apple Orchard

Jay was off of work yesterday so we decided to take Kendall to the Apple Orchard. She had a blast! I honestly can not tell you how many apples she ate (or took a few bites from and threw down...) but it was ALOT.

Not very often does she get to run around aimlessly picking food from wherever she wants, only to throw it on the ground when she is done. So of course she felt very special and free.

I had some apples, too, and I must say they were by far the best apples I have ever eaten. They tasted like candy. Kendall said "apples" all day long when we got home.

However, when I gave her more apples at home, it was not quite so fun for her, or me. She still thought it was ok to throw them down or spit out the peel wherever she wanted....I also think she was a little sick of them...but she was a big fan of the homemade apple butter!

Labor Day Weekend

Here are some pictures from the long weekend. My parents left Friday for Scottsdale and we were so busy all weekend. Tech game, tailgating, a 30th birthday party, hunting, shopping, cooking out......

Quote of the Day

From Jay:

"If you change Kendall's dirty diaper, I will let you go shopping."

Poop on, Kendall!

Go Tech!

Here are some pictures from the first Tech game. I can't describe how much fun Kendall had. She just kept pointing and saying, "Whoa!" Jay and I had such a fun time watching her play and dance to the Goin' Band from Raiderland. She also loved seeing the "neighs" (a.k.a. horses) down on the field!

Girls Will Be Girls

When I told Kendall it was time to go bye-bye, she ran around the corner with this get-up. She rarely goes anywhere (unless we want a fight) without sunglasses and a purse.

My First Blog!

Everyone else is doing it, so I thought I might as well, too. And, it is FREE, whereas Kendall's old website, www.kendallclem.com, was not. Her new website should be easy to remember, as it is almost like the old one. You just add in ".blogspot" before the ".com" so I think that should not confuse anyone too bad! This will be a work in progress, so just bear with me.....nap times only last so long!
