LSU Weekend

Jay is a BIG football fan. He has always wanted to go to an SEC game, since they are so big on tradition and have such cool history and rivalries. So, for his birthday back in April, I surprised him with tickets to the LSU vs Ole Miss game. My mom came and picked up Kendall and they flew back to Scottsdale. Jay and I met my family back in Scottsdale after our trip and stayed until the Friday after Thanksgiving...pictures of that to come.
LSu Tiger Stadium...they have such die-hard fans like I have never seen before...it was really neat to see!
National Champions last year....they lost the game we went to though.
We went to the campus really early to walk around and noticed this tailgate...they hired a band!
Mike the Tiger, their mascot. He lives on campus and was so pretty.
Herman Johnson, one of the LSUplayers, at the parade before the game. He set a record for one of the biggest babies ever born, at about 16 pounds!!
The LSU band. They call their stadium the "tiger den". When anyone wearing Ole Miss colors would walk by, everyone started chanting, "tiger bait, tiger bait" in their faces.
We decided to go walk around the campus some more, and just look at what happened. We ended up right on the field, like special people. Security was either really lax or completely stupid, because we just walked past all of them like we knew what we were doing! It was so fun. This picture of the cheerleaders was not even zoomed in, we were right here!
Some of the LSU players. So close I almost touched them.
Some Ole Miss players...did I mention we were RIGHT here??!? I actually stood right next to a camera man and a local news team videoing the game when I was taking this shot.
Oh and I almost forgot to add this part...we also did all of the fun touristy stuff, like Cafe Du Monde (yummy), Bourbon Street, French Quarter, and some other neat local spots.

Playdate with the Twins

Kendall and I met Chloe, Zoe and their Mommy at the park for a playdate, because we had not seen them since around Kendall's FIRST birthday party! And, they live right here in town. Crazy how that happens.

Thanksgiving Feast at School

A great time was had by all. Kendall was so excited and proud that Daddy came to see her at school. She was just glowing and grinning from ear to ear! And, the food was really good. Kendall's favorite part was the cranberry sauce, which she called "the pink". She would eat anything on her plate as long as it had "the pink" on it.

Kendall and Mommy....she looks so tired here! I guess all of the festivities wore her out.

Princess

Kendall is all about the princesses. I bet she says princess at least a million times a day. Princess for Halloween, princess sheets, princess books, princess sippy cups, princess dresses, princess toothbrush, princess purses, princess movies, princess stickers, princess shirts, princess dress-up, princess EVERYTHING!!
Right now she is obsessed with princess movies, which she only gets to watch for about 30 minutes before bedtime. Her faves are Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Enchanted. This is great, because those are also some of my favorites! She dances when the princesses dance and sways her arms (not so gracefully!) and tries to sing as beautifully as they do. She also loves to wave her wands and say "biddy boddy boo!"
Ready for dress-up....
Princess Kendall can be a little bossy to her peasants....Mommy and Daddy.
She is trying to put a spell on me!
Her "Cinwella shoosh"
Most of the dress-up stuff she played with today that you saw in the pictures was from her sweet Queen Aunt Alison and her two princes, Ford and Jake! Thanks!!

Helping Daddy with Yardwork

Kendall loves to be outside. And, she loves to help Daddy. So, of course, this was right up her alley! I think she looks great in a hat. The fact that she is keeping it on her head is just great, too.
Look at me, what a great helper!
This is the fake smile we get, along with "cheese!" when we ask her to smile for us!
"Mom, can you please just stop taking my picture and pull me in my wagon now?"
