Corn Maize

Jay and I took Kendall out to the Corn Maize this weekend. It was such a neat place, if you have never been, it is definitely worth the drive!
The pond, gazebo and windmill
Silly Daddy and Kendall
Lots of pumpkins....
...too heavy to pick up!
Mom SQUEEZED onto the cow train with Kendall
Corn Maize sign...lots of photo ops here, too bad Kendall wouldn't have it!
This year's maze is cut out like the picture in the center. Pretty neat.
Kendall in the mini-maze made out of hay. She did not like that it was "ouchy" on her hands.
The cows
The chickens. There were also hens, goats and pigs.

Just some pictures.

Don't you love that creative title? Here is Kendall painting a special housewarming present at the Mud Room for Cece and Grandandy.
Kendall's new Romo jersey sure didn't bring the Cowboys any luck this week.
What a poser!
Sultry.

March of Dimes

Here are our "prom" pictures before the March of Dimes! A great time was had by all. It is so fun to get all dressed up and feel pretty sometimes! My highlight was getting to talk to my local celebrity favorite, Abner Euresti! Also, I saw him fall down a few days later at the fair!

The Dirty, Filthy Fair

Kendall had such a blast at the fair this year! She ran around like a crazy girl and held her cotton candy for dear life until it disintegrated in her hand. She really only got mad at me twice. The first time was when I would not let her jump off the top of the ferris wheel, which I just knew she wanted to do very badly. I made her sit and she was not having it. Period. The second time she got mad at me was when I bend over to pick her up and accidentally whacked her in the face with my camera lens...guess I would have been mad, too.

Caden and Kendall driving the big truck. "Vroom, vroom" is what they kept saying.

They chose matching frogs for their hard work on the fishing game
Mommy and Kendall on the merry-go-round. It went around about 10 times too many for me, but Kendall loved every bit. I was dizzy.

Kendall insisted on holding Caden's hand (NOT mine, heaven forbid) and he was not always too happy about it. She would yank her hand away from me and say, No Mommy, "Canen's" hand.
Petting a cow, then instantly getting her 200th dose of hand sanitizer from Mommy. She got so used to it that she would just hold her hands out for me after every ride! Moooo! First taste of cotton candy...she had pink, Caden had blue.
On the ferris wheel, waay up high, a little upset about not getting to lean over the edge...hence not looking Mommy in the eyes.

Success!

Kendall is doing a great job in her big girl bed!! Here she is after her first full night. She is so proud of herself, can't you tell??

Recycling Gone a Little Bit Too Far....

DISGUSTING. Look at what "Mr. Dong" had to say below. My friend Heather sent me this, so I thought I would pass it on. I am sooo grossed out!BEIJING (AFP) - Used condoms are being recycled into hair bands in southern China threatening to spread sexually-transmittable diseases they were originally meant to prevent, state media reported Tuesday. In the latest example of potentially harmful Chinese-made products, rubber hair bands have been found in local markets and beauty salons in Dongguan and Guangzhou cities in southern Guangdong province, China Daily newspaper said. 'These cheap and colorful rubber bands and hair ties sell well ...... threatening the health of local people,' it said.
Despite being recycled, the hair bands could still contain bacteria and viruses, it said. 'People could be infected with AIDS, (genital) warts or other diseases if they hold the rubber bands or strings in their mouths while waving their hair into plaits or buns,' the paper quoted a local dermatologist who gave only his surname, Dong, as saying, "A bag of ten of the recycled bands sells for j ust 25 s en (three cents), much cheaper than others on the market, accounting for their popularity", the paper said.

BIG Girl Bed!

Kendall is sleeping for the first time in her "big girl" bed as I type! We will see how it goes...I already caught her getting down once and playing with toys. I got onto her a little bit and I think she understands now. I also rearranged her room a little bit to make it fit more of her toys. I moved her dresser into her closet, too.
