All Aboard!

We took Kendall on the Polar Express Friday night. Kendall LOVED it and it was so fun! It was also really fun because we had about 6 other couples who were taking their kids on the same night...wish we could have gotten more pictures with everyone, but it was so hectic and we were not all on the same train. Kendall was very excited because she knew she was going to get a "jingle bell" from Santa. She loves the movie and all of the songs and they played them all throughout the train ride. She had her first sip of hot (lukewarm) chocolate and I must say she drank it all up! Her jammies were so cute and she insisted on bringing her baby doll (the ugliest, always-naked one, by the way) on the choo-choo as well.

We got a few shots of her doing this with her little fingers..we have NO idea why she kept doing it! I have noticed in the past that she does it sometimes when she is nervous.
She loved it when the conductor punched holes all over her ticket. She actually has held her ticket and her jingle bell with her almost all day, every day so far.
Hot...hot...hot chocolate!
Waving at SANTA!!!!
Getting her jingle bell from Santa. She liked this Santa, which is the first one she has cared for so far this year. She kept saying "Hi Santa!" in a loud squealy voice and when he asked her what she wanted for Christmas she said, "a prize." I hope he knows what that prize is, because we sure don't.

Can't wait for next year, we loved it!!!!

Christiane Wheatley Photography

I met Christiane through a friend at a playgroup. She recently started a photography business and does such a great job! Here are some pictures she took of Kendall. They are the pictures I used on her Christmas card.

Some Holiday Festivities....

Breakfast with Santa at Lakeridge. She is crying because she did not want to sit with Santa. Why would she after how unfriendly he seemed at the mall? (See previous post....)
The bestest part of breakfast with Santa...kissin' her Caden.
Jay and I took Kendall on the carriage ride and shopping at Kingsgate. She loved this window display. I, however, would love to see a real store there, instead.

Just some pictures I have managed to snap here and there this month.

Fire Station

We had a fun playdate this week! Everyone made homemade goodies and we took them to the firemen for all of their hard work. Then, we got a tour of the station and got to see the trucks. The firemen were so thankful and so friendly. Kendall and I made some Christmas-shaped sugar cookies with red and green sprinkles. Tasted better than the looked, trust me.
Kendall and Jevin wondering what is going on. (They were all a little nervous at first, but that wore off pretty quickly!)
Kendall on the truck. Some kids sat inside the truck, but Kendall refused.
Chillin' with the boys...Weston and Caden.
Caden and Kendall chasing and pestering the station's cat.
Kendall and Weston looking for the cat who got away through the cat door. Kendall was saying, "heeere kitty, kitty, kitty!"
Afterwards, we went to the Science Spectrum Omni movie of "The Light Before Christmas". It was cute.

Carol of Lights

My nifty camera still did not work so good since my hands were shaking so bad from the cold!
We went to the Carol of Lights with Lacy, Bobby and Caden and made a night of it by going to Chili's first. The kiddos had a great time and complained much less than the grown-ups about the cold!

This is not from the Carol of Lights. I just thought it turned out cute and wanted to share.
She looks like Ralphie's little brother from A Christmas Story. I bet she felt that way too! I was sooo worried about her getting cold, that I completely FORGOT my own coat. Luckily Lacy brought an extra lightweight fleece that I put on last minute. Jay bought us all hand warmers for our gloves, which helped so much!

Funny!

Yep, same Santa. But he decided to smile this time...maybe because Graham Harrell was in the picture? Too funny!
Graham Harrell got jipped on the Heisman thing, by the way. Not fair!

Kendall's Santa Picture

Not the best. Look closely. She is not even actually on Santa's lap, but instead on Mommy's lap. She had a fit until Mommy held her. After, that she loved Santa and talked to him in an excited, high-pitched language only she could understand. The only word I understood was "pennies" because I told her if she sat with Santa I would let her throw pennies in the water. I am leaning over with one hand on the floor and my head cocked sideways, very uncomfortable.
Doesn't Santa look friendly, by the way? The best part about him was that his facial hair was 100% real. Oh well! She is dressed so cute and is at least smirking, and I can add it to her baby book!

Cute Santa Site and Harrell's Hand Picture

This is a super-cute Christmas site my mom found. I tried to put the actual video on here, but the site is not letting me for some reason. So, just click on the link below!
It lets you upload a picture of your child AND their name. Then, when you watch it back, Santa talks about you and shows your picture, and then your name on the nice list. Soo cute!
This was forwarded to me of Graham Harrell's hand. Ouch.

Around the House

Our Christmas tree. New tree topper!
Kendall's Christmas tree.
I put it together while Jay fed Kendall dinner and then we surprised her. She loves it! I sat all of her Christmas toys and books under it with her nativity scene. All of her ornaments are hers and nonbreakable, so almost daily she "redecorates" her tree, and it helps her keep her paws off of the BIG tree!
Kendall's Elf on a Shelf. If you don't know the story, you should look it up. Too long to type here, but I wish I would have invented it myself.
Our Christmas lights-we saved up to hire someone for the first time this year! Very worth it.
I know this is a little blurry, but I tried to get a close-up of the PINK light on the peak. Can you see it? Our lighting guy does this as his trademark. To make a long story short: his niece always wanted pink lights on the house, he said no, but would always put one pink one on top for her, and one blue one on another peak for her brother. The pink and/or blue light is for Santa. It is how he knows if a boy or girl lives there. Isn't that cute? As you can see, it sold me.

Before and After

Before Coldplay.
After Coldplay.
Please pay no attention to Mommy. My teeth look blue from my gum, not to mention the fact that it looks like I have 3 cheeks on one side of my face. It's all about Kendall.
